Weston Point

Jane and I went up to Cheshire to see Jane's Dad today. This is the evening view from Mersey View on Frodsham Hill looking towards the chemical works at Runcorn. Despite the industrial appearance this is a beautiful area and the view is spectacular over the marshes towards the Mersey.

Apparently The Beatles performed at the Mersey View club before they became famous. There was a Helter Skelter here at the time and it is said that this was the inspiration for their song of the same name.

We met a nice lady up there with a 5D who said she goes up there regularly to shoot the sunset. I never thought to ask her if she was a blipper.
