Mexican or Gringo?

Today was a day for lots of interesting people but perhaps none that stood out head and shoulders above another. I did like a young couple nestled in the back of the bus earlier in the morning but in the end I opted for this substantial bearded presence in a village market. I thought he might be a gringo but he spoke only Spanish.
