Spying

I saw my neighbour Bert through the cafe window and pretended I was on a secret spy mission. Do you know he is to play the part of Santa (please do not let your children read this!) 7, yes, seven times this year. He is over the moon as he so loves to play this role, to young and old alike. This is good news as earlier in the season he received a phone call from one (snooty nosed) place to say "we do not think you are a suitable candidate". My, but he was hurt. What a lack of sensibilities. Surely they could have said 'the position is filled' or something but to put it in those terms is nothing but rudeness.
