A Fitting day ...

This is what our weather looked like for the whole of today ... and one would think that it is fitting for a memorial service .. misty, dull, wet ...

And, a 1200kms up north, it poured and rained cats and dogs at the FNB Stadion where the Memorial Service for Nelson Mandela was held. For those who had time to watch as it was broadcast on most of the TV channels, it was all but dull, tearful and sad.

To my mind it was a wonderful ceremony paying tribute to an icon, who, I think, would have given full marks for the way in which the ceremony was conducted - had he been there.

Still pouring, at our neck of the woods, a good plate of hot food will go down well tonight.
