Palladian-style Church in Ayot St Lawrence.
The "new" church at Ayot St Lawrence built in the neo-classical style designed by Nicholas Revett. The old church was partially demolished in 1775 because it spoiled the view from Sir Lionel Lyde's new home.. Don't think they'd allow that these days!!
The village is also famous for being the home of George Bernard Shaw, his house being National Trust property and open to the public.
There is a pub, the "Brocket Arms" where myself and G went for an engagement meal with our families..
Damp and misty after a foggy start, but me and Tanni had a nice walk through the woods..
..and if I don't say anything about getting locked in the bathroom last night, none of you will know about it..
