Tiled Stoves

Lighting a small fire with a little wood in these stoves soon warms up the whole stove and then the whole room. The stove is filled with channels to carry the heat throughout before letting it escape through the chimney.
All these stoves are from the 1700's and 1800's but modern versions are still produced today.
I think it was an excellent motif for Sweden's Christmas stamps for European letters.
