Watching the birdies.....

A day off today and a wee bit of a long lie. Glad I was up and dressed before the window cleaners arrived at 0930 though, don't know who would have got the biggest fright! I decided to fill the bird feeder and this time instead of trying to take pictures through the kitchen window, I set the camera up on the tripod outside with the cable release (and me) inside. I did get better quality shots than last time but I either have to get a better zoom lens or get closer to the birds. I have gone with the cheaper second option and ordered an extension for my cable release.

Tomorrow's shift starts at 0600 so you can imagine how delighted I was to get a text this afternoon telling me that the shift was covered and I can have tomorrow off, paid of course! I might be forced to put the tree up tomorrow instead of after my early shift on Thursday. It's all good!
