Remembering Nelson Mandela 1918-2013

Today, at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg, thousands of South Africans joined world leaders for the national memorial service for former President Nelson Mandela.

This shot was taken at the same time, in Glasgow, at Nelson Mandela Place. Many tributes, wreaths, flags and artwork against the railings of St George's Tron Church.

46664 - Mandela was the 466th prisoner to arrive at Robben Island in 1964. It was Mandela's number until his release in 1990.
