Today I found that West Lothian superstar Susan Boyle has Asperger's. Michty. Cue for a number of radio programmes of a 'phoning in' variety to tackle the subject. Oh Lordy, though one caller (this was on 'Call Kaye' - I shouldn't really be listening) did amuse me by saying that after reading about Asperger's she realised that her parents both displayed the symptoms - a total lack of social skills and understanding. She confronted them with her new found knowledge but they were in denial! Maybe twasnae Asperger's at aw, just miserable auld grumps.
After the listeningthon, I took no less than 57kg of old metal to the scrappy. Six measly quid! Where's the incentive in that - nae wonder the country's going to the dogs. And later off to see Walesa: Man of Hope at the Filmhouse. Most enlightening about the man himself, so it was. He's a nutter too, btw.
