Gently down the stream

Into the blue

A misty start to the day. Very romantic. When I was a kid I used to dream about starting off on a walk and turning it into a fabulous journey just by heading out: straight path, signal on 'go' and a blur of wonderful very blue hills to make for.

In fact, what you see in the distance is only something like a mile away and is the westernmost edge of the South Downs. Leftish, with its tree hat, is St Catherine's Hill, and on the right, Twyford Down. In between is the M3 cutting which caused Margaret Thatcher (and the rest of us!) so much grief. Oh, and this path runs along the top of the old Hockley Viaduct, now transformed from Victorian railway to part of the Sustrans network.

Right, now I have to sit down to some displacement activity accounts. Erm..
Enjoy the rest of your day :)
