Raku Firing

This is the first firing of this semester's raku class run by the students. Nathan and Molly are pulling a mask from the red hot kiln and dumping it into a can of burnable paper. It was a mediocre firing as the stuff cooled to much before it hit the can.

Today, I give thanks for the day I was given, living thru a very trying day, a warm shower to wash the raku stink off and that bottle of mountain dew while firing.
