A Perfect Day

I was up with sun this morning and left home at 7.45am to meet up with the walking group for this week's 5 mile walk. I was tired, and wondered what an earth I was doing setting out so early on a frosty morning, and it was only 2 degrees! That was until I drove towards the South Downs and saw the rising sun, with the frost on the ground and mist in the valleys - It was stunning, and well worth getting up for!

We walked through a forest, across a golf course, past vineyards and frozen lakes, and even saw a deer running across the fields - it really was the perfect day! Fortunately I'm not the only one who likes taking photos, and today there was so many photo opportunities. In fact I took 177 photos in a 2.5 hours, so you can imagine the difficulty in choosing one for blip! I narrowed it down to about 5 and waited for Alan to come home so he could give me his opinion, and he chose this one, which was one of my choices too. It's worth viewing it large and I've put some of my others on flickr if you want to take a look.

After the walk we went to a local garden centre for a hot chocolate and a mince pie which was well deserved, and other than that, it's been an afternoon at home. I had intended to make a start on the ironing and did get the iron out, but by the time I'd had a shower, and sorted out my photos it was time to cook dinner :-) And now I'll go and catch up with your blips - have a nice evening!

Thanks for putting yesterday's beach art on the spotlight!
