Maidstone Buildings, River Medway and Lockmeadow
Up early and braved the early morning rush to get to the osteopath's for 9.00am. A good session which seems to have helped the sciatic pain of the last few weeks. He says it was brought on by not walking correctly owing to the knee injury and I agree. Anyway he straightened my back out and did a few clicks and it has been much better.
Whilst in town and having paid for car parking I took the opportunity to complete my Christmas shopping before going to the gym for a light workout (all that I was allowed to do by the osteopath)
The afternoon passed by quickly rounding off the last of the Christmas cards, presents and letters. Will be able to get them all posted tomorrow.
In the evening we went up to Greenwich for a meal with former members of the Greenwich ICT team - the demise of which took place over 2 years ago now. We met earlier in the year at Canary Wharf and finally managed to get it together this evening. A very pleasant evening, we could have just come from work rather than not having seen each other for the best part of a year.
Before coming home we had a quick circuit of the Cutty Sark and a glimpse of the lights across the Thames at Canary Wharf but as I'd already got my blip for the day we didn't stop.
This view of the Medway was taken from the steps of All Saints Church looking across to the block that is now Lockmeadow, housing David Lloyd's, the cinema, nightclubs and places to eat. By the time I took the shot the early morning mist had cleared to give quite a pleasant composition of the bridge and water. This iPhone app is great! (HDR3) but only where little is moving.
