Embers

Had a great work party today at the nature reserve. It was the last of the year so there were baked potatoes in the bonfire, wonderful cakes and biscuits, some magic tricks and a quiz. Everyone enjoyed themselves...AND we cleared some scrub from areas where there are rare plants and butterflies. I stayed on at the end to make sure the bonfire was safe and enjoyed, once again, the fading light and sounds of nature and the wonderful sense of peace as the fire burnt itself down to a heap of glowing embers.
