10 months old today so 10 - 11/12/13 xxxx

Eva is 10 months old exactly today!! I can't believe how fast the time has flown, I think I have literally blinked! So she is 10 months old on 11/12/13 so 10,11,12,13 and I was pregnant for 9 months (derr) so 9,10,11,12,13 lol :-)

Eva slept all the way through til 5am this morning, bless her. Not surprising really, I suppose, after being awake most of the previous night. She had a good feed, then slept til around 9am, just as I was getting out of the shower.

I was preparing a stew for the slow cooker this morning when today's pic was taken. Eva was having a lovely time playing with the colander, wooden spoon, a straw and her doidy cup with a drop of water in whilst sat in her highchair watching me. I put a drop of water in the doidy cup (have been trying to get her to drink water for ages) well, she got the cup by the handle today and actually drank some water. She got a faceful of water at the same time, but she didn't seem to mind, she was too busy looking all bemused at me excitedly jumping up and down and clapping my hands going "yeahhhhhhh, clever girrrrrrl!!!" she hasn't drank that much water in the past, so the fact she did it herself, I did get a bit carried away lol.

We took Nanny Nash into Solihull to meet her friends at lunchtime. Eva would normally have been going down for her sleep, but she did get about 40 minutes sleep in the car. She wouldn't settle in her cot when I got her back home and I was concerned what effect this would have on the rest of the day, hoping she'd be able to stay awake til bedtime. She was in bed asleep by 8.15pm, it's now 11.30, and she hasn't even stirred.

We went round to my mom and Peter's this afternoon. We stayed for about 3 hours and had a lovely time. Eva played with her toys and had a good roll around on the floor and did a little bit of crawling to show Nanny and Grandad. Grandad kept 'accidentally' dropping things such as cardboard rolls and packing plastic right by Eva and saying "now don't you play with that". Obviously Eva was intrigued and wanted to get it! She was so funny and got so excited by her new toys. She had cuddles with Nanny on her lap a lot more today which I loved seeing. Since my moms fall, she hasn't been able to hold Eva that much, so it was lovely to see today, and my mom tickling her and her laughing so much :-)

Jake played with her with her musical instruments when we got back, whilst I sorted her dinner out. They absolutely adore each other. Eva's face just lights up when she sees her big brother and he is so good and patient with her, and just has a knack of getting on her wave length.

Her daddy gave her her bath tonight with the regulation Simply Red in Cuba playing on his phone. Then I gave her her milk and she settled straight down into her cot and just went straight fast asleep.

Nanny Nash came back to ours this evening, and is staying the night, so we've had a lovely evening chatting and reminiscing. It's such a shame her and Grandad Nash live so far away. We look forward to them coming back for a visit in the new year xxxxx
