Ooooh.... what to choose????

I narrowed today's images down to 4... but I could go no further... Hub's couldn't decide either. We just stared at 4 images (and stared and stared); could be we were just too tired to be decisive. Of all of them, this one had the visual POP, so eventually I chose this. But the others each have a story and some character. It was a little woodland winter wonderland around here today.

This Red-bellied male really does look striking in large. He's quite a vibrant bird.

Fred on an impossibly small branch. He seems to be saying, "UNBELIEVABLE. I’m stuck on this ridiculous branch and I’ve lost the feeling in my toes… Now what?"

A pileated determined to get the dead bugs (?) behind this bird house didn't realize or didn't care that he was causing an avalanche. But then again, who could tell? It was already snowing so hard...

Obviously another cold and snowy day, but I sure did enjoy all of the photo opportunities that came along with it!
