Play - in a cemetery
My brother and I played in the cemetery next door to the farm house my parents rented in rural Maryland - is this the why of the draw I have for tombstones and burial plots? - who knows. Lots of people have such interest in the place where the past resides, below ground. What lots of people do not have, or did not have, is a collection of ironed ribbons from the funeral bouquets, ironed and re-used on one's Christmas packages. Our mother was thrifty! Yes, we waited until the bouquet was removed from the grave.
