Does It Make?

Here are two old hands from the world of press photography. On the left, James Sutherland former associate editor and picture editor of the Daily Express, London and our very own freelance professional photographer BHPPhoto, Brian Hickey, formerly of the Glasgow Herald and Evening Times. The setting is Camp Nou where Celtic FC were well and truly drubbed by FC Barcelona, 6-1. James and Brian had never met before but shared a whole catalogue of names of people they knew. I couldn't resist asking James the criteria he used for selecting photographs for publication. 'I ask myself, ''Does it make?''. It's as simple as that!'


Brian's visit had been long planned and we were going to be joined by SteinJ until business called him away. We had a lovely long lunch before the match and Brian stayed over with us before heading back south today. The only misfortune was the theft of his camera on the way to the ground and with it all his blips of the day. He did take one with my iPad later that he may use. Time will tell whether or not 'it makes'!
