Revolutions

Last adventure on the weekend in Leon, was an impromptu conversation with a local Nica. He was unsurprisingly, trying to make us pay up for a revolutionary-inspired speech in front of this eclectic mural of Sandino crushing uncle SAM, however certain events followed which made me doubt it was in fact “just a tourist-trap”. Indeed earlier this year, Daniel, the ruling “president” in power has changed the constitution to allow him consecutive presidential mandates. The people are content with Daniel, however certain militants from his party do not indeed follow these new ideologies, and some refer to a “revolution” from the North. Some days earlier there were several deaths which were seen as part of this growing discontentment.
