Wainwrights in colour and an interesting fact....

This painting (or more properly 'these paintings' ) are part of a project called Wainwrights in Colour by Andy Beck. He visited all the sites of AW's drawings and made paintings of them. The project took a lot longer than expected - we ordered ours in 2009!
The painting bottom left is of Holme Force which has featured in blips before and is difficult to photograph very successfully.
We are delighted with our coloured Wainwright, bought in memory of mother-in-law. When Andy Beck delivered it he told us an interesting fact about the Chris Justy revised Wainwrights. If the weather is so horrible tomorrow I might just blip the old and new versions of Burnbank Fell. If you have a 'new' Wainwright and have nothing better to do you might like to compare the pictures with these taken from the original book.
