Storm
A very sleepless night. Walking the dogs was a nightmare. I was nearly blown over on a couple of occasions and the rain was being blown so hard it was like bullets. The drive down the pass was awful. The rain/sleet made visibility poor but the wind was so strong that the rain on the road was washed uphill. I had to stop twice as I couldn't tell road from verge or in some sections steep drop.
When I did arrive at work after negotiating two fallen trees I found the folk from Ayrshire would be in late as the Kelloholm road was closed. One third of the kids didn't show or appeared in the afternoon as they thought we were closed. No luck though Wallace Hall and Kelloholm were. Home to discover the radar station golf ball has disappeared. Great image of sheep wandering around wondering why it's so dark all of the time. Or did it just bounce down the hill and land in the depths of Darr reservoir .
