Working hard....

The kitchen make over saga continues. The oven, fridge freezer and larder units are in. In fact the guys worked really hard and finished the units today. The only snag is that there are some false mini beams to go on the ceiling, and when the beams arrived they were awful. Huge rough dirty things like you might find in a loft. As the kitchen is really contemporary with a nod to tradition, the beams were supposed to be in keeping, the same sort of smooth oak as the units. They have gone back to the shop. Who knows when we will get the right ones. But it’s looking pretty much as we imagined, and everything works! Not only that, the guys did a great job of cleaning up after themselves too.
