Rest and Be Thankful

And we are thankful it was open. Due to an accident, the road just outside Glasgow was closed resulting in a two hour delay. Once on the move again it was obvious we wouldn't make the 4.00 ferry and phoned Calmac to say so and re book for tomorrow morning. The 8.00 am was fully booked the next ferry is at 4.00 pm. We are now in Oban having found a B and B and will double check at the terminal in the morning. If there isn't a place the alternative is to drive around to the Lochaline - Fishnish ferry.

This was the only blip today, taken when waiting at the traffic lights at the notorious Rest and Be Thankful 'ongoing works'. A wet drive to Oban with heavy mist on the mountains.
