Storm Lights

It does look very seasonal but in fact there's a wild storm going on outside and there's no electricity in the village so it's mostly  functional.  I suppose the star wasn't strictly necessary :-)
We saw two trees down on the drive home and actually squeezed by one that almost blocked the road.
Now we are in bed reading (or blipping) by candlelight.
Every now and again the continuos roar of the wind suddenly rises to a crescendo  and the whole house shakes  as a gust blasts by. It's very dramatic but there was a similar storm two years ago and the houses all got by so I'm not too worried.  In the morning we'll find out if I'm  being overly optimistic. The car is parked as far from all trees as possible.
