This is a very clever Aussie weed (it grows elsewhere too, I'm sure). It looks like it's covered in little frozen ice bits, when really it is a succulent gathering water for later. I took part in a native plant planting exercise. Adelaide Airport owns a piece of land where nothing can be built, so they are trying to return this area to original state (pre-European) and we were planting what should be growing there and removing some of these ice plants and huge mustard weeds. It didn't last long, unbelievable storms and rains we've been having this week, came to rescue and the team was justified to retreat to a nearby surf club for a spot of lunch and then back home.

I can't not mention a great looking apple and berry crumble we were going to have . If not for a tricky part in making this lovely pudding of distinguishing between caster surger and salt. Boy, did it look delicious!
