Curd
I was at a fairly critical point in the cranberry curd making when the littlest started howling from his cot.
What to do, what to do?
Go to him and pick him up, shoogle him and try and settle him whilst letting my curd curdle? Or leave him to cry it out and keep whisking away?
Well I did a bit of both. Given there was a high likelihood that the end result would be a wasted first attempt a Christmas condiment and a screaming child (he seems to get more upset when he is picked up when sobbing but I just can't help but pick him up!) I was very surprised that in the end I had two jars of gorgeous luscious looking magenta pink curd in the fridge and a baby boy who was happily fast asleep.
Result!
Had a good day all in all today. The littlest slept for a decent chunk at lunchtime so he was happy and I got some things done so that always makes things better. I met Shelly for coffee and played in the park after school with all three boys in the unseasonably warm weather.
Still didn't tackle the ironing pile though and I only just made a start on writing Christmas cards. Tomorrow however is a new day.
