Festfest

We'd the choice between the Jakefest in Leith or the Treefest in InverLeith. Leith Gala day is all good but we went for the park with sensible dads and mums with hairy armpits.

They said it shouldn't happen. They said it wouldn't happen. They said it would never happen. THERE WAS A SKATEPARK IN INVERLEITH PARK! A tiny half-pipe.
The nimbies were absent from prcoceedings. There was a beer tent after all. Eco-warriors mixed with the yummy mummys, civilised (mostly) kids, bio-diesel cars, wigwams and mountain biking displays. It was all very pc and eco-nice with the 2 busies present enjoying the attractions rather than weeding out the weed.

I couldn't help thinking it was just another makemoneyfest.... And we know how old Edina hates a festival to herself eh.....Leithfest, Tastefest and Treefest... all 'em this weekend for yet another Edinburghfestfest. Stop festing and start dieting Embra.
Good excuse for afternoon beer though.

Lionel Messi, "the new Maradona", scored with his hand tonight. Fulfilling both parts of the Maradona double against England......seriously weird prophecy type thing.
