celebrating
Today was a day for celebrations.
Not your typical Thursday.
Morning - took the woodwork group out to the Lyceum to see their production of a Christmas Carol. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
then, as I sent them back to the workshops for the afternoon, I hung back, met Sam and headed up to Lauriston for our 20 week scan. Is it 20 weeks already?!
Typically, we met the sonographer and it turns out she knows Sam from his shop. They chatted enthusiastically about all the products there that she loves. I had to stop them when they started talking about the salmon pate. "Oh, you probably can't have that, can you?", she says. Great. No, I can't. Thanks.
Anyway, she was quite lovely after all this and was able to tell us that all is well with the bairn. He has long legs apparently. And a willy.
Gave myself a bit of time to take it all in in the afternoon before heading back to work for our staff advent celebration. Food, stories and songs about light and dark. even an excerpt from the Moomins which was sweet.
Then after that, up to cineworld to see the full version of Garvald the Movie. Which was pretty good and available on dvd in the new year.
