Ambitious Spider

Opened my front door to be confronted by a huge web, about 1m diameter with this spider in the centre. It had built the web since last night - it wasn't there when I got back at about midnight. It managed to ensnare me as I walked out, but sensing it had got a bit over ambitious it scuttled away. Even though I'd broken half the web on my way out by the time I got back from the shops it had returned to it's place at the centre.

Good job I'm not an arachnophobe or the sight of this as soon as I opened the front door might have given me a coronary.
