Wycoller
We went to a little hamlet called Wycoller on Thursday afternoon. It has an extremely interesting history. One of the 7 bridges there is called a Clam bridge and is prehistoric. This photo is of the Clapper bridge which is 2 or 3 hundred years old, and the Old 16th century Hall. We had meat and potato pie, peas, onions and pickled red cabbage with gravy for our lunch. There is one café open all year (but not every day in Winter). It has a real fire in a Victorian range, an old fashioned sweet shop and craft centre. Only residents cars are allowed in the village. There is fantastic walking. Here is a link to my photos from August from Wycoller. Neil also has a photo on, of this bridge and the 16th Century packhorse bridge.
