Wishart Arch
Went into town again today. Needed to return some things to a friend and of course there's always the Saturday shopping... Best bit was a surprise phone call from the daughter - she'd decided to come home for the weekend so we gave her a lift back from the station.
Caught this on the way back to the car. This bit of town looks radiant when the sun shines. The blue paintwork works really well against the old sandstone.
The Wishart Arch is one of the oldest remaining parts of the city's architecture. (Dundee has a habit of knocking things down if they get in the way of development and the story goes that this arch - one of the gates in the city wall - was only saved as George Wishart preached from here).
PS If anybody is interested, yesterdays blip was indeed a shaving mirror - so congrats to those of you who got that far (the man struggled to get it and he sees it every day!). It was reflected in one those dual flush loo things - although now I look at it, I can see spectacles too!
