OH NO!

"I dropped my sunflower seed!”

You can see it fall as this little goldfinch watches it go. In three earlier frames, he was nibbling at the seed, holding it between his feet. Evidently he didn’t have a very good grip! I had followed him from the feeder up to this branch, happily snapping pictures of him - I hadn’t realized his predicament until I’d downloaded the pictures. No need to feel sorry for him though, because there were lots more seeds where that came from just a short distance away. He just had to be my blip for today because of his cute expression.

We have quite a snow storm predicted for all day Saturday. Wouldn't you know it - Saturday evening we have a birthday party planned for my mother's 105th birthday, and then will have our family Christmas get-together on Sunday since everyone will be home. I'm hoping for safe travels for everyone, but if the roads are really bad we'll have to postpone things for a later date.
