Soon to vanish into history?
Silhouetted head of an overhead projector (OHP). The multimedia projector has largely superceded it. But not for everything. Despite what the IT folk will tell you. Very simple, and easy to fix if anything goes wrong. Whereas the "MMP" has a very expensive lamp, that needs replaced every so many hous, and its sophistication means its also highly complex. Have done repairs on both types of projectors, and at least one other.
Inverness College's new campus building at Beechwood is progressing rapidly, they say. Still haven't seen it. It'll replace this Longman campus building, and others.
A wide collection of repair items arrived today: two mag(nifying lens) lamps and an electrotherapy unit for the beauty therapists; a fifty inch plasma monitor for the IT folk (the fifth such one); various broken leads and a small motor gearbox from our section; and a model radio controlled toilet(!) from the plumbers - don't ask...
