Mergus Merganser

I was hoping to have a really good walk this morning but sadly the weather had other ideas. My sister and I did make it to Pollok Park where I was thrilled to find a number of goosanders on the river. Despite the driving rain and wet lens I was determined to capture one of these magnificent diving ducks for my blip today. The birds were being blown about - sometimes towards us and then as the wind swirled they were carried downstream - as a result many of the photos were not well focussed. This shot of the female was about the best.
