Rsnr & R jnr, took a whole day course in Intermediate Bike Riders Training together today! What a lovely day we all had!

The course was presented by the same 'Speed Queen Racing Academy' of which the owner is a petite, blonde girl, a champion racing driver, who presented the beginners course for R jnr a couple of weeks ago! They present it on the premises of Gerotek Training, which is an affiliate of 'Armscor Business. They have the biggest and most modern facility in Africa for the training of drivers in all walks of life!

Gerotek Test Facilities was established to satisfy an urgent need for an all-encompassing test facility at which vehicle design and development could be monitored in a typical South African environment. It also offers a one-stop test and evaluation service of electrical, electronic and mechanical products and systems in accordance with a wide range of commercial, industrial and military specifications.

There are tracks for motorbikes, including all sorts of possible road conditions you can get, from tar to paving to dirt roads to potholed roads, ANY condition, good or bad, found on normal roads!

Qualified instructors present the training which is of a very high standard and is internationally approved.

The Police Force, Defence Force, Armscor, Biker?s magazines, etc make use of these facilities for training and testing drivers. Four wheel Drive obstacle tracks are situated here. We were deeply impressed by what we saw here today!

The facility has beautiful restaurants as well, where they cater for groups to be trained there! We were all treated to a very tasty, first class meal at noon!

The two men in our house are really very tired tonight! It was a full day in the African sun! R jnr, who was not too well for the past week, is really buggered tonight! He runs a very high fever, we are monitoring him, we know he is reasonably dehydrated in spite of the fact that they were served soft drinks and mineral water the whole day, because he had a moderate flu and lost litres of water, his face and hair were dripping wet with sweat throughout the day!
