So today was a long but good day out.
We woke up early, and I dropped my cousins at school with my aunt, and we then headed further direction Annecy.

We arrived, parked the car, and first went for a wander around the old town of Annecy, a lovely cute little town. We walked in and out of shops, and just admiring the beauty of this little place right between the mountains.
We then went further to the lake. It is the third largest lake in France, and the cleanest lake in Europe. With a little bit of fog hanging just above the lake and perfectly blue skies, it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

With it being terribly cold we found a little restaurant where we sat down, had a hot chocolate and shared a cheese platter to warm up again.

Once warmed up, we braved the cold, walked around for a little while longer and then made our way to the car. We drove up almost 2000m, where we had a breathtaking view over the lake and the Mont Blanc. I didn't want to leave again.

We eventually had to make our way back towards Lyon, as the children needed picking up from school.

But it was an amazing, perfect day. We spent so much time chatting, shopping, laughing, taking pictures, and just having a lovely aunt/niece time. Definitely good to get away from revision and appreciate His creation.
