A vegetable garden put to sleep..

I failed a bit with my vegetable garden this year. All I managed to harvest was some spuds and rhubarb.
Spring was late and I just didn't get anything sown/planted at the right time. I must do better next year!
There are a few spindly leeks still to come but I'm not sure they'll amount to much. Still, it was a good year for damsons (ask my pup, Tia!) and I have a lot of jam!

I'm a bit fed up! I received a parking fine for £100!!! (£60 if I pay within 14 days). I go to this group of shops at least twice a week and I have NEVER noticed a sign saying 2 hours maximum stay!
On the day in question (my Lord), I met a friend for coffee in the cafe within M&S so we'd chatted for an hour or so, then my daughter joined us and we went to a couple of the shops. I suppose I must have just been within the 2 hours before..
The shops are near the football and rugby stadiums so I can understand the time restriction on match days but all the time?? Especially now there's a cafe??
I looked for the signs today and they are 7' up poles which are hard to see from the car and impossible on foot! Very cross - I'm thinking of pleading my case... :-/
