Happy birthday to me!

My lovely husband driving us home from a very nice birthday lunch with my folks. He normally objects to being in my blips but it seems silly to record my life and not have him in it so hopefully he won't mind this one too much.

so i'm getting a bit old these days. makes birthdays a bit of a time for contemplation (as well as cake and wine). i think it's just having the kids as well... the many moments of pure joy i have every day with them, where my heart feels like it is bursting with love for them, are so often accompanied by an awareness that these moments are so fleeting, and it's such a cliche but that they will grow up so quickly. "remember this" i often tell myself at those moments. and of course i won't, not most of them anyway. but i guess that's why i'm doing this journal.

and also i may be getting older, but i have such a happy life and have so so so many things to be grateful for... feel very blessed
