what a star!

Mr H very kindly agreed to play with Wilsden Band this evening as our regular Eflat tuba player is recovering from surgery. He hasn't played since he last helped us out and hasn't played on a regular basis for a good few years. However his natural talent still shines through and he makes it look easy.

I still find it rather odd looking across at him on a stage and seeing someone with slightly greying , slightly receding hair and glasses. I still think of us both being the teenagers we were when we met playing in a brass band back in the 1970's. Wonder how many times we have played Jingle Bells since then!
