Santa Lucia Treats

Our church was organized in 1858 by a group of Swedish immigrants. The annual Santa Lucia Tea is our way of celebrating that heritage. This tradition has been going on for over 60 years. The community is invited and we basically eat treats, drink lots of coffee and visit. This in a setting of Scandinavian decorations and candle light. I was the official coffee pourer today, but when Anna and Laura came in and surprised me with their visit, someone else was happy to take my place. A great time! I think I had too much sugar and caffeine because I came home with a headache and needed a nap!
