Luna
In ancient Roman religion and myth, Luna is the divine embodiment of the Moon. Luna's Greek counterpart was Selene. In Roman art and literature, myths of Selene are adapted under the name of Luna.
It used to be popular belief that insane and psychologically disturbed people had been effected by the phases of the moon, hence the appellation of 'lunatic'.
