Spotless

A rare portrait. I have wanted to take this photo for a long time but never felt comfortable asking for permission. This sweet old man is one of several dry cleaners in our neighbourhood. Even though the other shops are cleaner and more modern looking, his quaint old shop provides the friendliest, most human service. He has been cleaning and pressing my suits for something like fifteen years now (scary thought!). He's watched Valerie and Arthur grow from babies and never once has he let me down. Yes, dry cleaning is no longer necessary with the advent of machine washable suits but I rather like the personal interaction which dry cleaning affords and I think I would miss my weekly visit to this lovely chap. Hats off to you, sir.
