"We chilled on Sunday" - Craig David
We actually did though. Saturday was crazy and awesome and brilliant so Sunday began in a rather relaxed manner. Quite like this shot - it includes lots of lovely people and the light steaming through Arti's living room is pretty cool IMO.
People started to leave and finally only myself, Arti, Raphael, Chloe and Sam remained. We ventured out into Manchester in search of adventure and food... mainly food. Arti suggested an underground hipstery burger joint that was allegedly fantastic. When we reached it it had closed, but a sister restaurant had opened so we went there. Whislt we waited for a table at Almost Famous, we checked out the Scientology Centre, which was... interesting...
Arti got a stress test and the results demonstrated what we all knew - he's a pretty chilled out guy :) Reminded me of the IT Crowd scene with Moss... I wish I had a stress machine!
Afterwards we went back to the restaurant for hands-down the best burgers ever created... Mine included two patties, feather steak, blue cheese, peppercorn sauce, chorizo, onion and loads of other good stuff. A heart attack in a bun, but so worth it. Must go back when I next go to visit Arti...
We toured the Christmas Market after gorging ourselves on burgers and fries - pretty extensive and nice to walk round, but most of the nice stuff involved eating/drinking, which wasn't a good idea after our huge meal. I did pick up some genuine Dutch Stroopwafel though, because they're brilliant (and can be saved for another time)...
Had to make my way home to Leamington on a packed train afterwards... Managed to finish off the last episode of the Wire standing up though... Probably my favourite TV show of all time. Here's hoping I can do it justice if I write on it for States of Damage.
So yeah, that brings the Manchester weekend to a close. Really good to see everyone - especially Arti and meet cool new people too. Good times.
