The Dawn....
....and was I thankful it was a new day and the Aga had run out of tantrums.
I was getting ready to go out last night to my writers group dinner, when I suddenly realised the Aga was off the richter scale hot !!!!!! Nothing for it but abandon night out and attend to the beast....a few understated frantic texts to Chamonix, as my old Aga had different controls, and much angst later the temp started to come back down at 2.30 this morning......was I glad and could finally go off to bed although I did get up once or twice. The high high winds yesterday were I think to blame. Indeed when the daylight arrived this morning, bird feeders blown all over the garden. The poor wee fountain in bits at side of lawn, 2 heavy garden chairs blown clean round side of house and heavy teak garden table blown off edge of terrace complete with chairs......yep a tad windy. All well now and grandcat still bemused by the to and froing up and down the stairs checking most of the night. He gave me such a look this morning when I fed him.
