Out of their Tiny Minds

Who in their right mind would build a 7th Mall right next to a beautiful Venetian Gothic church with it's polygonal stone spire. The culprits: Irvine Development corporation. The church was built for the Rev. William Robertson, known as the 'Poet Preacher' on account of his lyrical sermons.

Luckily under the Urban Realm restoration of the main hall and spire took place aided by a grant of £500,000 from Historic Scotland. However for better or for worse it has been marketed as an opportunity for a new restaurant or public house by the regeneration agency Irvine Bay.
