Taped off

I made an early dash up to the Farmers Market and from the bus noticed that quite a stretch of pavement on Leith Walk was taped off and had several police standing about. On the way back I snapped the scene from a rapidly moving bus (well, rapid for LRT). Turns out that something rather unpleasant had happened in the night.

Later on a couple of old friends came to visit as they were passing through Edinburgh after attending a 90th birthday party in St Andrews. Their impending arrival made us clean up the flat somewhat, which was long overdue! I cooked a meal and then we strolled round to the Vaults for a wee dram - a very pleasant evening.
