Had a little bit of time to myself today so took the chance to check in on Ellon's red squirrels. Had been something of a busy weekend back 'home'l culminating in a dark and wet drive home. Gin deployed.

Brief conversation with a dog walker in the Macdonald Woods heading for the squirrels as I asked about her whippet that she declared was a lurcher (before further explaining it was half-whippet) lead to comment of the day: "Are you from Ellon? Because you sound... *pause*... English..."
