Lazy Saturday afternoons

I didn't post yesterday because it was a very busy day!

I had to run to the folks house first thing in the morning to deliver my moms "Pampered Chef" items she had ordered. My dad is still in Arizona and she's been alone with my grandma for almost a month now (my mom's mom lives with my parents) and she can all but drive a person out of their tree. So I felt obligated to extend my visit longer than what I would have liked. When I finally got up the guts to say I needed to go home mom looked at me like I was telling her I had 3 months to live and said "don't leave me alone with your grandma please" After I made her understand that I had other fish to fry she even then clung to me as she walked me to my car....didn't think I was going to make it out of there.

Mikes friend Mike had a birthday and after he had treated Mike and I to a front row Pat Benatar for my birthday I felt like I had to do something nice for him so after my errand to moms I came back home got Mike went to the store and got ingredients to make my world famous Orange Chiffon cake. I came back home to whip it up and Tyler tells me that Bri his girlfriend was coming over any minute.

She showed up while I was in the process of making the cake and me and my easily distracted mind put 3 tablespoons of baking powder instead of 3 teaspoons and so I had to start over. After the cake was in the oven I sat down to take a break before I made dinner. Ty and Bri were sitting on the couch watching a movie and they looked so cute I had to take the picture so I decided to use it as my blip for the day...or I rather Saturday but with dinner still to make and clean up from the cake by the time we had eaten dinner and Bri had gone home I just wanted to crash.

And crash I did.
