Tree in process...

We hadn't been planning to get a tree this Christmas due to the logistics of getting it to our apartment - more specifically, due to the logistics of carrying it up the 54 stairs to our apartment. However, we when spotted the perfect-for-us sized tree, we picked one up yesterday and carried it home - more specifically, K carried it down the street and up the stairs.

As is tradition in our family, K is the one to start tree-decorating by straightening the tree and stringing the lights, at which point my daughter M likes to jump in with the ornaments. The two of them enjoy it so much that I usually just watch, busying myself with other Christmas preparations.

It will be a different way of doing things this year... Here K is posing with the completed first step before he had to leave for a business trip in London and Paris for the rest of the week. As M is an ocean away, I will have to place the ornaments. Maybe my daughter and grand-daughter can provide some Facetime help... I will have to call them tomorrow :)
