J9 had a day of missioning planned for us today. Over to B&Q and then over to Urbis for the Buy Art Fair. To be honest it was more of a research trip for her. To see what other artists are doing and how much they are charging, to chat to other local collectives and galleries and generally have a look around.

As you would expect there was some cack but a lot of quite funky stuff. This is by Fan Xiaoyan and examines the vulnerability of women and the power of the rise of feminism in China. Amazingly its all stainless steel*, even the skin!

Urbis is a fantastic gallery but there is talk of the national football museum taking it over... be a real shame to lose the place as an art venue.
